What is Salvation?
The biblical idea is for a person to turn from their sin (repentance) and embrace Christ as their Lord and Savior (belief).

1. A person needs to understand God's holiness.

God is Holy |
2. God hates sin-everybody is a sinner.

All have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. |
3. As a result, the sinner is worthy of death.

4. The good news-"the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

| He became a man |
| He is utterly pure and sinless |
|
|
The Sinless One became a sacrifice for our sin |

|
He died on a cross to provide a way of salvation |
|
|
He rose triumphantly from the dead! |

5. God's demand of the sinner-Repent and turn to Christ as Lord and Savior.

Turn your heart from all that dishonors God and follow Jesus |

Trust him and Lord and Savior |

6. Salvation is free-so is joining the army. Both have costs. Count the costs carefully.
